Analysis and comparison between forged aluminum wheel and steel wheel


    1.Light weight. The weight of forged aluminum wheel is only half of that of steel wheel. Taking 22.5x8.5 as an example:  the weight of forged aluminum wheel is 24 kg, and that of steel wheel is at least 49 kg.


2.Fuel economy.  Forged aluminum wheels are lighter in weight, which easily increase accelerating performance and decrease braking energy demand, and correspondingly save fuel.  In addition, due to the unique air flow and rolling resistance of forged aluminum wheel, the fuel saving rate of 100 km test is at least 2 liters per 100 km (The fuel consumption of the former is 2.5 liters lower than that of the latter).


3.Tire wear is reduced by 26%. Because of the characteristics of the forged aluminum wheel, its equilibrium value is 0, it is not easy to deform, and it has fast temperature dispersion (the normal driving temperature is 20-30 degrees lower than that of the steel wheel). It has better protection for the suspension system, so the wear of the tire is greatly reduced, making each tire run 50000-80000 km more).
